Dr. C R Vijaya Mohan, a member of Dr. Gokhale CT Associates, has had the privilege of being associated with about 5,000 cardiac procedures in the last 10 years as cardiac anesthesiologist. He is now working as a Senior Consultant Cardio–Thoracic Anesthesiologist in Global Hospitals, Hyderabad
Dr. Vijaya Mohan has had many distinctions to his credit. He is the first in Andhra Pradesh to develop a dedicated Intra Op TEE program, managed by Cardiac Anesthesiologist for better patient care and the first in Andhra Pradesh to use Elastomeric Infusors for ambulatory analgesia through thoracic epidural route.
Dr. Vijaya Mohan was actively involved in the first LVAD & first heart transplant at Care Hospitals, Hyderabad. He has successfully managed about 500 beating heart surgeries, 100 lung surgeries and 50 Trans Esophageal Echocardiograms and 10 Thoracic Epidurals so far. He has protocolized many aspects of cardio–thoracic patient care including OPCAB/one lung ventilation/post–op ventilatory care/IABP care.
Graduating in Medicine from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, in 1989, he obtained MD. in Anesthesiology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, in 1994 and underwent post–doctoral training in cardiac anesthesia at Mediciti Hospitals, Hyderabad. Dr. Vijaya Mohan had worked as Cardio–Thoracic Anesthesiologist in Care Hospitals for six years before joining Global Hospitals.
Dr. Vijaya Mohan has delivered lectures and presented papers on cardiac anesthesia and cardiac critical care at various medical conferences.
